Slag pot is an important steelmaking equipment in the metallurgical industry, and it is a kind of container used to hold high temperature molten slag produced in the process of iron and steel smelting. Because it is high temperature molten slag, the requirement of slag pot material is very high. The common materials are ductile iron and cast steel. The following river casting editor compares the characteristics of the two materials for you as follows:
performance strength of slag pot: the tensile strength of ductile cast iron slag pot (QT400-18) is greater than or equal to 400mpa, high strength and impact resistance; the tensile strength of cast steel slag filling (ZG25) is greater than or equal to 400mpa.
Heat resistance of slag irrigation: ductile cast iron slag pot has good plasticity and thermal fatigue resistance, while cast steel slag irrigation has good heat resistance: good plasticity and less cracks after rapid cooling and heating.
deformation degree of slag filling: ductile cast iron brittle material is not easy to deform, cast steel slag filling plastic material is easy to deform.
degree of slag adhesion: ductile cast iron slag pots are not easy to adhere to steel slag, easy to clean up after slag adhesion, resistant to impact and not easy to crack; cast steel slag irrigation, easy adhesion of steel slag, oxygen cutting after adhesion, and easy to cause uneven inner wall after long cutting time.
Slag filling crack: there is no crack in ductile cast iron slag pot after 6 months of use, local crack can continue to be used; cast steel slag filling crack: when the material is not suitable, it is easy to crack and can be welded.
