Large Steel Castings-Slag Pots

Slag pots, a large steel castings product, has been mentioned many times before and we also know that it is an equipment used to load steel slag in front of a steelmaking furnace. Due to the harsh environment of  casting, slag pot are required to have higher quality, for the more the using times and larger volumes, the more difficult casting will be.

1.When producing slag pots, large foundry manufacturers will repeatedly inspect the processes according to their working principles, and then distribute them to the slag pots foundry workshop, and finally the workshop will formulate the production process according to the necessary flow.

2.To make the mold of the slag pots, the reasonable structure, durability, smooth surface and draft angle are required.

3.The workshop begins to make a suitable sand box, arrange the modeling parts, carrying out sand impact, demoulding, mold repairing, core making, etc. Finally, it's also required to check whether the sand mold is cracked or damaged, and then close the box. All the steps need to strictly follow  the operation rules.

4. Repeated tests are required by KUNFENG®. It requires the counterweight material and raw materials, a sample for spectral analysis, and pouring it after the result qualified. Finally, pouring shall be carried out in accordance with the process operation procedures and process requirements.

5.Carry out the finishing of the slag pots and the inspection of the finished product. Cut off the excess riser and polish it to make it smooth, and finally test the size and weight of the finished product.
