Processing and solve the problem of using slag pot

Cast steel slag pot is a workplace often used for iron tapping and slag tapping. After continuous production and practice, the slag pot used in solid smelting has the following problems:

1. The unreasonable design of the overflow port will lead to the direct deviation of the center of gravity of the slag pot, especially in the process of hoisting, it is easy to tilt and the slag will easily overflow, thus causing safety risks.

2. If the overall structure is unreasonable, the slag pot is easy to crack after being subjected to thermal stress, and it is even more likely to cause the slag pot to break through the bag and cause accidents.

3. If a ladle or slag pot with inner lining is used, too much liquid will overflow from the ladle to the slag pot, and the bottom of the slag tank can be easily lifted quickly, resulting in damage to the slag pot.

In order to solve these problems, steel foundry manufacturers are also trying to solve these problems, and some improvements have been made to some processes or castings when processing cast steel slag pots:

The main contents are as follows: 1. when designing the drawings, these problems are taken into account, and the casting processing process will thicken or increase the wall thickness of the rear inside of the slag pot according to the drawings, so that the slag pot can reach the balance of the center of gravity after hoisting.

2. Cancel the strengthening edge of the upper side of the slag pot, at the same time, the bottom and the middle and upper part of the slag pot have uniform thickness, the bottom and the reinforced edge reserve the expansion gap in advance, and the bottom increases the strong bar.

3. The structure of the iron car is changed, and the three iron-lined ladles are directly replaced by two iron-lined ladles and two slag pots, which can prevent liquid from flowing into the slag pot and avoid local damage to the slag pot.

Whether it is the use of slag pots or the processing of slag pots in large-scale foundry, we all need to put the quality of castings in the first place, especially in use, if problems are found to be dealt with in time, accidents can be effectively avoided.
