It should be noted here that when testing the slag pot, do not arrange personnel to test the slag pot immediately after pouring. Testing should be carried out 1-2 days after casting. Because of the large volume and heavy weight of the slag pot, a portable magnetic particle flaw detection machine can be used to detect the local parts of the castings. Because of the large volume, two perpendicular testing directions are generally selected, and there should be exhaust holes on the shell of the slag pot. The trunnion of the tank body also needs to be tested, which should be located at the symmetrical center of 0.2m to 0.4m above the synthetic center of gravity of the tank, and its safety factor should not be less than 8, and it can only be used if it is qualified in the heavy load test at 1.25 times the load; for the slag pot in use, flaw detection of the trunnion should be carried out regularly. When there are internal cracks in the earshaft, shell weld cracking, obvious deformation, mechanical failure and other large steel casting manufacturers will let employees repair or scrap.
