Advantages of ductile iron slag pot

Ductile iron slag pot (slag landler) products are made of refractories and cast iron. It is mainly used to hold steel slag and waste after steelmaking and ironmaking. Nodular cast iron slag pot, also known as slag landler, is to accommodate the cold liquid metal into the mold cavity and the gas, residue mixed in it, to eliminate cold insulation, pores and slag inclusion of castings; to increase the local temperature of the mold to achieve the heat balance of the mold; to increase the strength of thin-walled castings to prevent deformation during demoulding; an ejector rod is arranged under the slag collection pot (slag landler) so that there is no jacking rod trace on the casting surface; it can be used as a processing benchmark and a fixed part of clamping. Slag pot is one of the ancillary equipment in the metallurgical industry, which is used to hold steel slag and waste during steelmaking and ironmaking. The traditional material is gray cast iron, and nodular cast iron has been widely used in recent years. When slag pot is used, it is directly in contact with steel slag to withstand high temperature baking, and the steel slag temperature is high. Under abnormal conditions, steel breakout takes on molten steel. Under normal circumstances, the slag filling load is self-weight and slag weight, and the load increases sharply during breakout. Once the steel is glued to the can, it will be hit by a heavy hammer when cleaning the slag, which is destructive. The residual stress of the casting is cracked by cold and heat. Residual stress source: slag irrigation wall thickness is uneven, the difference is large, and thermal stress is formed in the cooling process. The slag with high residual stress will crack quickly after cold and heat. It is difficult to control the production process of nodular cast iron slag landler, especially when the casting weight is over 20T, the anti-decay, anti-segregation, anti-graphite floating and anti-stress crack need to be strictly controlled.
